Real Madrid are set to make some serious sales in June and eye the left-back position as one where they can pioneer a major exit.

Fran Garcia, their most saleable asset in the department, had offers from the Premier League and was even open to leaving in the recent winter transfer window.

Los Blancos, however, shot down Bournemouth’s attempts and kept Garcia much to his dismay as they saw his presence to be vital in terms of the squad depth.

Future away from Madrid

As confirmed in a recent report by Defensa Central, Alvaro Arbeloa does not count on Garcia who is frustrated with his situation in the team. The manager does not want the Spanish full-back in his plans and has not given him minutes for a while now.

Garcia does not understand why Real Madrid turned down his move to England in January when virtually everything was agreed upon and even some farewells had been said. After all, the manager does not count on him even in the absence of Alvaro Carreras.

He wants more regular minutes at this stage in his career, and all signs thus point to a guaranteed departure in June. After all, he does not even have a minor role at Real Madrid to cling to.

Bournemouth will likely return in the summer for the left-back’s signing, but several other first-division teams will also likely enter the race. All that he will need is Real Madrid’s approval to leave.
