According to Glorioso 1904, Real Madrid are demanding that UEFA sanction Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni. Inside the club there is growing expectation that UEFA will issue a ban.

The case, involving Prestianni and Vinícius Júnior, has dominated attention around Madrid and overshadowed preparation for the La Liga meeting with Osasuna.

In his pre-match remarks, Álvaro Arbeloa urged UEFA to act, describing it as a major chance to confront racism. He said the situation was unacceptable and would not be allowed to pass.

Benfica have kept a lower profile. José Mourinho avoided detail, but acknowledged that managing emotions since the 50th minute has been difficult.

The disciplinary case remains under review, with all evidence submitted to UEFA, including the player’s account. Prestianni denies using the word “monkey”. A decision is expected before the European rematch at the Santiago Bernabéu.

This season Prestianni, valued at €12m, has played 30 times for Benfica. His tally spans 18 Liga Portugal Betclic games, seven in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 1,460 minutes, he has scored two goals and supplied one assist.
