Real Madrid have done only one major operation in the ongoing January transfer window, allowing Endrick to leave on loan, joining Olympique Lyon.
The 19-year-old starlet is already thriving in France, having already racked up four goals and an assist in only three appearances, including a spectacular hat-trick this past weekend.
Given how well he has started off at Lyon and his past performances, Real Madrid still do not understand the lack of opportunities for Endrick under former manager Xabi Alonso, reports Mario Cortegana of The Athletic.
Despite having returned from injury in September, the Brazilian international played only three matches during the first half of the campaign, totalling up to only 99 minutes of on-field action.

Alonso saw Kylian Mbappe as his undisputed starter in the No. 9 role and barely rotated the French superstar, which played a role in Endrick’s reduced prominence.
Still, it is surprising that the youngster was not afforded more chances to prove himself and earn a bigger role in the team.
It prompted Endrick to seek a loan move to Lyon, where he is now showcasing his quality and potential.
As per the report, the 19-year-old gem’s objective remains to return to Real Madrid and succeed at the club.
However, he also wants real opportunities at the club to prove himself and in case they are not forthcoming, Endrick’s camp will consider all options, including another loan deal or a permanent exit with a buyback clause.
