After netting a brace this Saturday night against Villarreal, Kylian Mbappé looks well on track to lift the 2026 Ballon d'Or. Eden Hazard certainly believes so.
This season, Kylian Mbappé has already racked up 11 goals in the Champions League and 21 in La Liga. The captain of the French national team seems poised for the most prolific campaign of his career and is a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or.
However, the Real Madrid striker will also need to claim collective trophies in this World Cup year. Speaking to Téléfoot, Eden Hazard was optimistic about seeing the former Parisian clinch football's most prestigious individual honor.
"He set the bar very high at the start of the season. Could Mbappé win the Ballon d'Or? I think he will. He'll need to win the Champions League, La Liga, and go deep in the World Cup. But I have no doubts about him: the Ballon d'Or, he'll get it," declared the former Belgian international.
