Real Madrid lead La Liga’s 2024-25 television payout, narrowly ahead of Barcelona, after the league published club-by-club distributions.

The league said in a statement that La Liga and Liga2 clubs will share €1.43 billion this season. By comparison, Ligue 1’s 18 clubs are set to receive €80.5 million.

Madrid received €157 million, Barcelona €156 million and Atlético Madrid €108 million.

Half of the TV money is split equally among the 20 top-flight clubs. A quarter is tied to performance across the past five seasons, with the final 25 per cent linked to subscriber numbers, tickets sold and, above all, television audiences.

These sums are expected to rise in the coming years, under a €1 billion deal with Movistar+ and DAZN.
