Real Madrid have informed Como of their intention to buy back Nico Paz for €10M by the June 30th deadline. They have given the counterparty a few days to acquire him at a slight discount, Fabrizio Romano informs (via SOSFanta).
Les Merengues plan to sell the Argentine this summer. The Lariani have the chance to retain him for a €60M. In this scenario, La Liga giants would still have a say on his future thanks to a future €80M clause.
Como aren’t leaning in that direction, but they have until Monday to finalize their decision about Nico Paz. The player indicated his preference, but he already had a contract with Real Madrid and couldn’t block the operation.
If the Lariani, which have a very wealthy ownership but are now under the scope of the Financial Fair Play, don’t splurge on the starlet, he’ll be put on the market for €70M. A possible bidding war will likely further drive up his price tag. It remains to be seen whether Los Galacticos will insist on maintaining a buy-back clause as well.
Inter have been keeping tabs on the talent ever since he moved to Serie A and have a good rapport with the Spanish powerhouse and his camp. They’ll throw their hat in the ring after missing out on Marco Palestra, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
It’s an unfortunate turn of events, but this kind of deal is a true sword of Damocles. While nothing is ever set in stone on the transfer market, it’d be stunning if any Serie A outfit spent that much. In the Nerazzurri’s case, the deal might perhaps become viable if Alessandro Bastoni were roped into it.
