It is no secret that Real Madrid have set their sights on a summer move for Liverpool superstar Trent Alexander-Arnold as a priority, whose contract will expire at the end of the season.
The England star has reportedly rejected several renewal proposals already, filling Los Blancos with the hope of signing the right-back.
However, Real Madrid are preparing contingencies in case Alexander-Arnold does not arrive, with an alternative target identified.
Indeed, according to AS, Real Madrid have their sights set on Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro as an option to reinforce the right-back position if Alexander-Arnold does not join.

As per the report, the Spanish right-back has been on Los Blancos’ radars for a while, with the club admiring his qualities and as such, they are keeping an eye on him.
Porro signed for Tottenham back in January 2023 for a fee of around £45 million and has a contract with the Londoners until the summer of 2028.
So, a move for the right-back will not be straightforward as Tottenham will demand a premium fee for their star defender.
As mentioned earlier, though, Alexander-Arnold remains the priority objective for Real Madrid. But with Liverpool not giving up on his renewal and interest coming from clubs like Barcelona and PSG, Porro could be an interesting alternative for the Spanish capital giants.
Bayer Leverkusen ace Jeremie Frimpong is another name on the Merengues’ agenda to strengthen the right-back slot.
