Real Madrid would need to bid between €200m and €250m to prise Michael Olise from Bayern Munich, who have so far stood firm, according to L'Équipe.
The France international did not quite sustain his usual level in the last World Cup knockout ties against Paraguay, Morocco and Spain, yet his season has lifted him into a different bracket.
After tormenting Bundesliga and Champions League defences, and being voted the league’s best player, the 24-year-old’s numbers have surged. His hybrid of inverted winger and old-school playmaker remains a rare profile.
Olise delivered 22 goals and 31 assists for Bayern in all competitions, plus five assists in seven World Cup matches. He has led the assist charts in the major competitions he has played, and before the last two World Cup games he held a one-assist lead over Lionel Messi and two over Kylian Mbappé.
Under contract until June 2029, any move would likely require that €200-250m outlay, a level previously matched only by PSG when they met Neymar’s €222m clause in 2017.
His market valuation is put at €150m, fourth worldwide, behind Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland at €200m and Kylian Mbappé at €180m, level with Pedri. He tops the Bundesliga list ahead of Jamal Musiala at €100m.
Olise’s rise has been rapid given his pathway through Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City academies before Reading. Crystal Palace activated his €9m clause in July 2021, then Bayern paid €53m in summer 2024. He has since become a France international, in a cohort where no fewer than 10 players are valued at €70m or more.
