Joshua Kimmich’s contract situation at Bayern Munich means he continues to be linked with a host of top clubs across Europe, with Real Madrid also among potential contenders for his signing.
Following the retirement of Toni Kroos, Real Madrid have been found somewhat lacking in the centre of the park, although Dani Ceballos’ recent performances have given hope.
Nonetheless, Kimmich’s possible free-agent status has put him on the radars of the Spanish capital club, along with other big teams like Barcelona and Manchester City.
Now, according to BILD, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Premier League bigwigs Liverpool, too, have entered the race to sign Kimmich on a free transfer in the summer.

The midfielder’s current deal with Bayern Munich will expire on June 30 and he is now free to negotiate with any club of his choice.
Talks over an extension with the Bavarians have taken place but the German international is yet to commit, leaving the door open for other clubs, and Liverpool wish to pounce.
As for Real Madrid’s stance with regard to Kimmich, conflicting reports have been doing the rounds, with some suggesting that contact has taken place between him and the club while few indicate that the La Liga champions are uninterested.
At the moment, though, the situation remains open, with Kimmich still not penning an extension with Bayern Munich.
However, if Real Madrid wish to sign him, they will now also have to contend with added competition from Liverpool.
