Vinicius Jr and the Santiago Bernabeu have not shared the best of relations in recent times, and there are multiple factors behind the surprising fallout.

The player, who once was adored as the club’s ‘special’ star and Ballon d’Or frontrunner, has been incessantly booed by the supporters in recent games and he partially has himself to blame for the same.

His poor form and inability to recreate his goalscoring record, needless to say, are a major factor behind the same. Added to that are Vinicius’ antics on the field which were all fun and games up until a point but are now testing even fans’ patience.

While a major part of the fanbase has turned against Vinicius Jr after Kylian Mbappe’s arrival, there is a sect that continues to root for the player. After all, he is a part of the club’s history at this point.

The player was deeply affected by the boos during yesterday’s clash against Levante, but El Chiringuito bring to light how some fans stopped and showed their support for the player as he was leaving the stadium after the game.

The messages they campaigned were overwhelmingly supportive and undoubtedly would have reached the player as a sign of love and that he is still wanted at the club. Some of the messages said were as follows:

“We are with you until the end.”

“You were and are the best.”

“We will never forget what you’ve done for this club.”

“You will come back stronger.”

Real Madrid are worried that the fallout between the Brazilian and the fanbase will complicate his contract renewal which has already suffered a lot of setbacks in recent times. Gestures like these, however, go a long way and may prove important.
