Supporters of Real Madrid in attendance at the club’s meeting with Getafe on Monday made use of the opportunity to send a crystal clear message to president Florentino Pérez.

This comes fresh off an evening to forget for all associated with Los Blancos.

Real Madrid marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Getafe to the Santiago Bernabéu for a La Liga clash.

Upon the full-time whistle bringing proceedings to a close, the hosts found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a hugely underwhelming 1-0 result.

This marked a 2nd successive defeat for Álvaro Arbeloa’s side, leaving them four points adrift of table-topping Barcelona.

And as alluded to above, post-match at the Bernabéu, the finger of blame was pointed firmly in one direction by many.

As reported by journalist Guillermo Rai of The Athletic:

‘Some fans at the Bernabeu are chanting “Florentino (Pérez) resign!”
