Real Madrid fans 'want' Vitinha as marquee midfield signing this summer | OneFootball

Cadena SER reports that Real Madrid supporters have made Vitinha their preferred midfield capture for the summer window, with the PSG midfielder topping a fan poll.

He received 34% of the vote, well clear of Rodri on 16%. Despite that, 72% of respondents said they would be ready to welcome the 2024 Ballon d'Or to Madrid. Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea), Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal) and PSG’s Joao Neves each polled 10%.

Vitinha, third in the most recent Ballon d'Or, is under contract with the reigning European champions until 2029 after last year’s extension.

Addressing speculation in March, he stressed he feels very settled in Paris and indicated it would be unwise to leave.

Currently nursing a heel issue, the 26-year-old has played 45 matches this season, scoring seven with 10 assists.

Real are seeking to reshape their midfield for next season, and look set to end a second straight campaign without a major trophy, nine points behind Barcelona in La Liga with six games remaining.
