Rodrygo is one of many Real Madrid players currently nursing from an injury, having recently picked up a fresh knock in the win over Osasuna.

It was an unfortunate night for the Brazilian international, who could not continue after the 20th-minute mark. He was subsequently ruled out for yet another period on the sidelines.

Rodrygo yet to be ruled out for Leganes and Liverpool clash

Even as Real Madrid prepare for the resumption of club football, coach Carlo Ancelotti has the services of everyone but the list of injured players – a list that does include Rodrygo.

However, it appears the forward has not been completely ruled out of Real Madrid’s upcoming matches against Leganes and Liverpool.

According to MARCA, Rodrygo has gone through a speedy recovery process after picking up a knock against Osasuna earlier this month.

Last Monday, the forward surprised everyone by returning to ball training. And everything suggests his return could be pushed forward due to the fast recovery.

Keeping that in mind, the Brazilian international has not been ruled out for the Leganes clash, and much less for the Liverpool encounter, later this month.

However, even if Rodrygo does make an early return, Real Madrid will be mindful of the player’s fitness, knowing they cannot afford to rush him back to action.

Therefore, it won’t be surprising to see Ancelotti taking a more cautious approach with regard to Rodrygo this time around and only utilising his services if absolutely necessary.

The international break has certainly helped the Brazilian speed up his recovery. But just how quickly he can return to full fitness and get cleared for action, remains to be seen.
