The new season has not started as per plans for Real Madrid youngster Endrick.
After a summer of uncertainty surrounding his future, the Brazilian ultimately chose to trust Jose Mourinho and stay at the club, despite interest from several top clubs, including Liverpool.
The Portuguese manager has assured him that he will have a role in the squad and opportunities to develop and make an impact throughout the campaign.
However, Endrick will not be able to do that during the opening weeks because of the physical problems he is dealing with.
Having missed the season opener against RCD Espanyol, the 20-year-old Brazilian striker will now be unavailable for the team’s second La Liga match against Real Sociedad, COPE journalist Arancha Rodriguez, as relayed by Bernabeu Digital.

As per the report, Endrick is suffering from discomfort in his hamstrings, preventing him from training and playing normally and lasting longer than initially expected.
The No. 9 was left out of the squad for the final pre-season friendly against Schalke 04 and also missed the final training sessions before the start of the campaign.
Mourinho confirmed that Endrick would not be ready for Real Madrid’s opening league match at the RCDE Stadium.
Although no official recovery timeline has been announced, there had been hopes that the Brazilian would recover in time for the postponed first-round fixture against Real Sociedad, which will be played this Wednesday.

That target now appears to have been ruled out. With only a couple of days remaining before the match, Endrick is still training separately from the squad.
Mourinho does not want to take any unnecessary risks with his players. The priority is therefore for Endrick to make a full recovery, with the aim of returning to the squad for the match against Málaga.
Real Madrid have prepared a specialized recovery program for his muscle issue, and he continues to work on it, aiming to make a swift recovery.
For now, the Brazilian’s return will have to wait, while Real Madrid take a cautious approach to ensure the muscle problem does not become a longer-term issue.
