According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Dani Ceballos is preparing for what could be the most decisive season of his career.

As such, the Real Madrid midfielder, who came close to leaving the club only a few days ago, is now determined to prove his worth to both Xabi Alonso and Spain coach Luis De La Fuente.

For Ceballos, the challenge is to secure a place in Real Madrid’s plans and fight for a spot in Spain’s squad for the next World Cup.

For what it is worth, it won’t be an easy path, as he begins the season at a clear disadvantage compared to his teammates in midfield. Still, the 29-year-old is motivated by the idea of turning the situation around.

If he manages to establish himself in Madrid’s starting XI, he could force De La Fuente to consider him again for Spain, a manager who already knows him well from his time with the U-21s.
