It didn’t take long for Nico Paz to draw the interest from top clubs and earn his first call-up by Argentina following his Como switch, but Real Madrid are fully in control when it comes to his future. The Lariani paid €6M to have this season, but it was only technically a permanent signing.

According to El Confidencial, Los Blancos can buy him back for €12M until 2027. They’d cash in 50 percent from his sale to a different team. Milan and Napoli have started to show interest. He has provided three assists in his first six Serie A appearances.

Paz just debuted with Argentina, setting up Lionel Messi against Bolivia. He was ecstatic afterward (via Tuttomercatoweb).

“It was an indescribable emotion and one of the most special moments that I will never forget. Everybody in the Seleccion helped me, in particular Lionel Scaloni, who gave me the confidence to play with no fear or pressure. My family was thrilled for me. My father and sister made it to the game. Seeing them happy was a big joy. It’s a dream come true to assist somebody like Messi. It was incredible to play with these champions. I had the chance to learn a lot from the best players in the world during the break. I’ve acquired self-belief for the rest of the season, and I’m sure we’ll be able to achieve all our team goals.”

Our Take on Nico Paz and Real Madrid

It won’t be long for him to make his way to Santiago Bernabeu if he keeps going as he is. The feat for Como would be to keep ahold of him for multiple seasons.
