Real Madrid have an ‘85% chance’ of landing key summer transfer target | OneFootball

An update on the chances of La Liga giants Real Madrid landing transfer target Álvaro Carreras this summer has been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards the chances of a deal coming to fruition as altogether high.

The name of left-back Carreras has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital for several weeks now.

This comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, confirming that Real Madrid had set their sights firmly on the 22-year-old’s signature.

Amid a search for left-back reinforcements to incoming boss Xabi Alonso’s squad, the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu earmarked Carreras as the ideal profile.

Talks with Benfica, in turn, were recently kicked into gear, albeit with an agreement proving a difficult one to come by.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then those of a Blancos persuasion should remain quietly confident in their side’s chances of landing their defensive target.

As per journalist Fabrizio Romano, speaking during an interview with DAZN:

“There is an 85% chance that Álvaro Carreras will end up in Madrid. Carreras wants to play for Real Madrid.”
