Real Madrid have ‘genuine interest’ in deal for Chelsea star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are expressing a keen interest in the signing of Chelsea star Enzo Fernández with a view to next season.

This comes amid the understanding that Los Blancos are giving real consideration to tabling a big-money offer for the Argentine over the months ahead.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that those in the boardroom at the Bernabéu are on the hunt for reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer.

Ahead of the arrival of José Mourinho in the club’s dugout, Real are eyeing a different profile of midfielder to create a more complete engine room cohort.

And featuring prominently on a long list of targets, it is understood, is the aforementioned Enzo.

As per a report from English outlet The Daily Mail:

‘Real Madrid hold genuine interest in signing Enzo Fernández this summer. Chelsea will now wait to see whether Real’s interest in their vice captain amounts to a formal offer.’

Enzo, it is added, is keen on a Stamford Bridge exit this summer.
