Over the past few days, rumours of Real Madrid re-signing Nico Paz have from Como have been gaining a lot of weight.
While it was suggested that Los Blancos had decided to bring their former academy gem back from Italy in January itself, those speculations have been dismissed by multiple reliable sources.
Instead, the plan is for Nico to make his heroic return to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2026, with Real Madrid set to activate their buyback clause for the player.
In fact, as per the latest update from Fabrizio Romano (h/t Madrid Xtra), personal terms are good as agreed between Nico Paz and Real Madrid.
The Argentine creative midfielder has already given his green light over a return to the Spanish capital club and does not want to wait for anything.

As per the report, Real Madrid are the playmaker’s first, second, and third choice. As such, barring any last-minute twists or surprises, he will be making his way back to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2026, two years after having left the club.
Real Madrid’s buyback clause for Nico Paz for next year is worth €10 million only. However, given his rapid rise at Como and the increase in his market valuation, it is expected that the Merengues will pay a greater fee to the Serie A outfit.
A meeting is set to take place between the two entities soon to discuss the same and reach an agreement as early as possible, so as to avoid any late misunderstandings or confusions.
So, as things stand, the stage seems set for Nico Paz’s grand comeback to Real Madrid, two years after having bid goodbye to the club.
