Jose Mourinho may have officially begun his second spell as Real Madrid manager when pre-season started this week, but his influence has been felt at the club for much longer.
And, according to Mundo Deportivo, Los Blancos are very pleased and impressed by the impact that their new manager has already made at the club.
Since being confirmed as the new manager in June, the Portuguese tactician has played an active role in shaping the squad, contributing to both incoming and outgoing transfers.
One example was his direct involvement in convincing Marc Cucurella to join the club, underlining the authority he has been given in building the new project.
Now back on the training pitch at Valdebebas, Mourinho is wasting no time implementing his methods.

Alongside his coaching staff, Mourinho has spent long hours preparing training sessions and closely overseeing every aspect of the team’s work. His trademark intensity has been evident from the opening days of pre-season.
The former Chelsea boss has constantly interrupted drills to make corrections, demanded greater concentration from players and even stepped in personally during goalkeeping exercises on occasion.
Those inside the club have welcomed his hands-on approach.
According to sources close to Real Madrid, the club’s hierarchy has been delighted with Mourinho’s attitude and leadership during his first days back.
Senior executives viewed his appointment as the ideal opportunity to restore discipline and unity within a dressing room that had become increasingly fractured over recent seasons.
Internal disagreements, including the tensions between Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, reinforced the belief that stronger leadership was needed.
Mourinho has already made it clear that he intends to be the unquestioned authority within the squad.

One of his first changes has been requiring players to arrive at Valdebebas almost two hours before training sessions begin, establishing higher standards of professionalism and preparation.
While the early signs have impressed those at the club, everyone recognises that Mourinho’s biggest challenge lies ahead.
Many of Real Madrid’s biggest stars, including Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, have yet to return from their post-World Cup break.
Managing those personalities and convincing them to prioritise the collective over individual ambitions will be one of the defining tasks of Mourinho’s second spell in charge.
Club officials acknowledge the scale of that challenge, but remain convinced they have appointed the right manager for the job.
Their belief is simple: if anyone has the experience, authority and personality to unite a dressing room full of elite talent and restore a winning culture, it is Mourinho.
