In that regard, according to El Chiringuito TV, Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has emerged as a major target, with negotiations between the parties said to be at a highly advanced stage.

The Argentine international has been on Real Madrid’s radar for some time, but recent developments suggest that the possibility of a deal is becoming increasingly realistic.

The report claims that Real Madrid have made significant progress in their pursuit of Fernandez, who remains one of the most highly rated midfielders in European football.

Chelsea are reportedly willing to consider offers in the region of €120-140 million, a figure that immediately narrows the list of potential buyers.

Fortunately for Real Madrid, they are one of the few clubs capable of financing such a move.

Fernandez arrived at Chelsea in January 2023 and signed a long-term contract running until 2032.

However, despite the lengthy agreement, discussions over improved terms have reportedly failed to progress in recent months.

At the same time, there have been increasing signs that the midfielder may be considering a fresh challenge.

It must be noted that Fernandez has been hinting at a possible departure for some time, while Chelsea would not necessarily block an exit if their valuation is met.

The situation has become even more interesting following Chelsea’s failure to secure Champions League qualification.

As a result, the club may be forced to make difficult decisions regarding some of its biggest assets, with Fernandez emerging as one of the names attracting the most attention.
