Although the January transfer window is closed, Real Madrid remain on high alert and are closely tracking various young players across Spain.
One of the players currently on Real Madrid’s radar is someone who has been compared to Andriy Lunin, both in terms of physicality and technique.
The player in question is Levante’s youth goalkeeper Ihor Galdin, a Ukrainian who has been a part of the Levante project since 2022, shortly after Russia’s invasion of his home country.
According to AS, Real Madrid are among the clubs that have sent scout reports about the 15-year-old.
Standing at 180m, the youngster has impressed onlookers with his skill and physique, with many believing that he is destined for first-team football in the coming years.

Real Madrid and Valencia are two of the clubs that have shown interest to bringing in Galdin, knowing his immense potential.
Levante, though, have no desire to offload their prodigal goalkeeper, having tied him down to his first professional contract last year.
There are already discussions underway in the Levante camp regarding a new contract for the Ukrainian U16 star, as the club look to fend off interest from other teams, including Real Madrid.
Interestingly, Galdin was never supposed to be a goalkeeper. But at the age of six, he came to training late, and as a punishment, he was sent in goal. The coaches, however, took note of his excellent performances and the youngster become a goalkeeper ever since.
Galdin, for his part, is hugely grateful for Levante for giving him the opportunity to not only train but also study, especially after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in early 2022.
