Vinicius Jr. is edging closer to securing a contract renewal with Real Madrid, claims a report by Marco Ruiz in AS.
The negotiations are progressing positively, with both the club and the player’s representatives in complete agreement about extending his stay. However, discussions have been postponed until the summer to finalise the details.
The outlet mentions that the contract situation has now reached a crucial stage. While Vinicius remains committed to extending his deal, which currently runs until 2027, Real Madrid have already initiated talks with his agents.
The first round of discussions revolved around the financial aspect, with the club enquiring about the figure Vinicius expects in his new deal.
This is particularly important considering the lucrative offer he has received from Saudi Arabia, reportedly worth €1 billion over five seasons.
Despite this, the Brazilian has made it clear that his priority remains at Real Madrid, and both parties have agreed to resume negotiations after the season concludes.

With Kylian Mbappe recently signing a long-term deal until 2029, Real Madrid must balance the wages of its star players.
Alongside Vinicius and Mbappe, Jude Bellingham is also in line for a contract revision due to his exceptional performances.
The Englishman, currently earning between €8 million and €10 million per season, has cemented himself as one of the team’s key figures, making his contract review inevitable.
Vinicius’ market value and status have skyrocketed after winning The Best award, triggering a clause in his contract that added €2 million to his annual salary.
A similar bonus would have been activated had he won the Ballon d’Or. When he signed his last renewal in 2022, his deal was worth €75 million net over five seasons, averaging €15 million per year.
Interestingly, the outlet mentions that the forward wants to increase this annual figure by at least €5 million more.
This summer, Vinicius will have the opportunity to finalise his future with Real Madrid. After competing in the Copa America, he is expected to sign a new deal that will solidify his position at the club for years to come.
