Real Madrid legend Pepe provides his take on Dean Huijsen signing | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid star Pepe has this weekend spoken out on the club’s recent signing of Dean Huijsen.

Defender Huijsen of course sealed a dream move to Real Madrid last month, after Los Blancos agreed to meet the release clause in his contract with Bournemouth.

Despite his tender years, the one-time Juventus talent will be expected to play a prominent role in the squad of new boss Xabi Alonso in 2025/26, already garnering lofty expectations when it comes to his performances over the years ahead.

And one individual of the opinion that the capital giants have indeed secured for themselves a fine player is the aforementioned Pepe.

Speaking during an exchange with the media after playing his part in the meeting between Real Madrid’s legends and their Borussia Dortmund counterparts on Saturday, ex-Blancos stopper Pepe explained:

“Dean Huijsen? Is the transfer fully official, am I allowed to talk about it? Okay then, it’s a great deal for us… He will help us be even more competitive.”
