While Real Madrid’s recent 2-0 win over Sevilla was overshadowed by the way the home fans treated Vinicius Junior, the match also saw Kylian Mbappe extend his scoring tally.
Scoring a late penalty to seal the three points, Mbappe has now scored 29 goals in all competitions this season, 18 of which have come in La Liga.
Mesmerised by yet another strong performance, Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos heaped praise on Mbappe after the game against Sevilla.
Having returned to Spain after ending his spell at Monterrey, Sergio Ramos reappeared at Santiago Bernabeu this weekend to witness two of his former clubs, Sevilla and Real Madrid, take each other on.
After the game, Ramos posted a story on his Instagram profile, praising Mbappe for scoring a late penalty goal.
“Many congratulations, my brother. I already said it a while ago… number one,” Ramos wrote on his story with a picture of the French international.

It must be noted that Ramos has played with Mbappe during their time at Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish defender was part of the setup for two years before leaving in 2023.
Even at 39, Ramos remains determined to play at the top level, having recently completed his spell at Mexican outfit Monterrey.
Although he is yet to find a new club, Ramos is not ready to say farewell to football just yet and retains a hectic training routine to keep himself fit.
Ramos, for his part, was reportedly ready to return to Real Madrid for one last dance, but the club have shut the door on that idea.
The upcoming January transfer window, therefore, could be interesting as fans await the next chapter in Sergio Ramos’ long and illustrious career.
