Real Madrid are treading carefully with Kylian Mbappe, as the club looks to avoid turning a manageable issue into a long-term problem.
According to journalistAlberto Pereiro, the French international is unlikely to be recalled by Real Madrid until the crucial UEFA Champions League clash against AS Monaco.
As things stand, Mbappe is already considered ruled out of the upcoming La Liga fixture against Levante.
While the pain in his left knee has reduced and he has been able to train, the assessment within the club remains cautious.
The French forward is still not deemed ready to cope with the demands of a high-level competitive match.
Mbappe’s physical issues first surfaced just before the high-profile encounter against Manchester City.
That game felt like a turning point, and without their biggest star available, Real Madrid suffered a narrow defeat that further intensified the pressure surrounding the bench.

Recently, Mbappe missed the Copa del Rey tie against Albacete, and all indications suggest he will remain unavailable this weekend as well.
Despite that, the forward does not regret pushing himself earlier in the season, even if that decision came with consequences.
What has changed is his approach going forward, with both the player and the club now determined not to take unnecessary risks.
After hosting Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid will remain at home for another major occasion, a Champions League night against Mbappe’s former club, Monaco.
According to Pereiro, the recommendation from Niko Mihic, Real Madrid’s Chief Medical Advisor, is very clear.
He has advised the club to “wait” at least until the Monaco match before recalling Mbappe to competitive action.
With the season entering a decisive phase and Mbappe central to Madrid’s ambitions, patience is seen as the smarter strategy.
