Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes has been making headlines for the last few months, as his position comes into question following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. The Brazilian has been clear that he is happy at the club, and he is delighted to have the Frenchman alongside him, but it hasn’t stopped speculation that he is the most likely to leave, be it this summer or next.

On Monday night a message appeared on social media where Rodrygo pointed out that he was part of an attacking quartet alongside Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, as the BMRV rather than just the BMV, as it had been dubbed by the Madrid press.

Speaking on Friday ahead of Real Madrid‘s game against Real Valladolid, manager Carlo Ancelotti told the media that Rodrygo had informed him that it was not a real message.

“I have spoken to him. I asked him if something had happened, he told me that it was a fake, that he had not said anything. He is happy and working well. There is no problem with him.”

More generally on the Brazilian, he was keen to point out that Rodrygo was accomplishing the tasks he was set.

“We all know the quality it has. In these two games he did very well. With this very defensive team, the forwards have to work harder and he is doing it well.”

“He is very happy and happy, delighted because he is playing. It is a topic that we do not comment on because there is no need to comment on it.”

In another answer, he would admit that ‘the forwards need to work a little more’ too. Originally it was claimed that Rodrygo’s message was fake, but later The Athletic and Marca would report that it was indeed the Brazilian’s message. They noted that it was intended as message of encouragement and to point out his good work, but it was not seen that way.

Another player whose position has been placed in doubt is Endrick Felipe, who is yet to see a single minute of action in their opening two fixtures. There has been talk that the 18-year-old could leave in January if he is not getting enough minutes. Ancelotti was happy with his adaptation.

“He has adapted very well, I have said other times that he has impressive quality for his age. He will have minutes taking into account the competition that exists in this team.”
