Over the past few weeks, the headlines surrounding Real Madrid have been dominated by Vinicius Jr. and his alleged falling out with manager Xabi Alonso.
The Brazilian megastar’s outburst at the manager on the field after being subbed off against Barcelona only served to fuel the fire further.
Since then, reports have suggested that the rift between the pair has widened and that Vinicius is hesitant to renew his contract at Real Madrid with Alonso in charge of the team.
However, according to the latest update from Mundo Deportivo, Vinicius and Real Madrid are now on the same page as far as his renewal is concerned and an agreement could be finalised in the coming months.
This comes after last night in Greece when fans saw an image that seems to settle the dispute between Alonso and the Brazilian forward.

After the hard fought 3-4 victory against Olympiacos in Athens, the player and the manager embraced, suggesting that they had buried the hatchet.
This gesture comes at a time when there has also been progress between Vinicius and the club regarding the renewal of his contract.
The Brazilian international, whose current deal expires on 30 June 2027, currently earns €15 million per season. His initial intention was to be the highest paid player in the squad or to earn at least the same as Kylian Mbappe.
However, now, Vinicius has accepted to reduce his those initial demands, leading to progress in negotiations. The aim now is to try to finalise the new agreement in the coming months.
This development will come as a major boost for Real Madrid, who always wanted to retain Vinicius and tie him down to an extended contract.
