Real Madrid are juggling a lot of issues at the moment, starting from the poor results and question marks over Xabi Alonso’s future, to the injury woes and contractual problems with some players.
One of the main issue on the contractual front happens to be that of Vinicius Jr., with his current deal running out in 2027 and no agreement being reached.
Talks over an extension have hit a major roadblock, owing to the player’s salary and bonus demands as well as his tense relationship with manager Alonso.
Amidst all the ongoing speculation, one of Vinicius’ agents was spotted at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas facilities, reports El Chiringuito TV.
Negotiations between the Brazilian’s camp and the club have not progressing and fresh talks may have to wait until after the FIFA World Cup next year, meaning the 25-year-old attacker will have entered the final 12 months of his deal by then.
Moreover, Vinicius was one of the players targeted by whistles and boos by the Real Madrid faithful last night when the team lost 1-2 to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
On being asked about the renewal situation as well as the boos directed at Vinicius, his agent did not offer a response.
So, it remains to be seen how that and Alonso’s future factor into things when it comes to the attacking superstar’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
