Real Madrid’s summer rebuild appears to have taken another significant step forward after fresh reports revealed that Bernardo Silva has already completed his medical ahead of his move to the Spanish giants.
According to journalist Rodra, the Portuguese midfielder is now set to become a Real Madrid player after all parties reached a complete agreement over a deal that has progressed at remarkable speed.
While rumours surrounding the player’s future have circulated for weeks, Real Madrid moved decisively once they identified Silva as a priority target.
The agreement is understood to include a two-year contract with an additional one-year option, giving the club flexibility while securing one of Europe’s most experienced midfielders.
One of the most notable aspects of the transfer is the role played by the new manager, Jose Mourinho.

The report claims that Mourinho met with Real Madrid directors earlier this week and made it clear that Bernardo Silva was the profile he wanted added to the squad.
The Portuguese coach viewed the former Manchester City star as the ideal fit for his plans and pushed strongly for the club to complete the move.
This is why Real Madrid wasted little time responding, with discussions accelerating rapidly over the past 36 hours, leading to a full agreement and a completed medical examination.
What makes the move even more striking is the financial sacrifice made by the player.
Despite attracting interest from the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Bernardo Silva has accepted lower wages than those he earned in England to join Real Madrid.

Before Real Madrid entered the picture, Bernardo Silva’s future appeared far less certain.
Barcelona had been discussing a potential move for several weeks and viewed the Portuguese international as a possible reinforcement.
Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, also pushed hard to secure his signature and are believed to have presented a stronger financial proposal than the Catalan side.
However, neither club was ultimately able to convince the midfielder.
Instead, Silva opted for Real Madrid, with the combination of Mourinho’s presence, the sporting project and the opportunity to play a leading role in the squad proving decisive factors.
