Real Madrid are going to go through a significant squad rebuild this summer, and for this purpose, have already signed four new players. Going forward, they are looking to lighten up their squad a bit by completing some exit operations, so they can make room in the team for even more signings.
So far, three players who were a part of the Merengue team last season have already left, i.e., Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, and Dani Ceballos. The former two left after ending their contracts, while the latter’s contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Meanwhile, there are several more players on the exit ramp, including the midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, whose last few seasons have been significantly below the club’s expectations.
In this regard, an update from MARCA claims that Real Madrid have already offered the Frenchman to the English giants Manchester City. For this purpose, direct contacts have taken place between the two clubs.
The Premier League side is currently considering Camavinga’s signing, but they do value his physical prowess and stamina. Despite having already signed Elliot Anderson for a staggering €135 million, the Citizens are still in the market for more midfielders. They missed out on signing Sandro Tonali, who has joined Tottenham, and thus, the Frenchman could emerge to be an appealing player for them.
This situation is also being seen positively by Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho is not convinced by the player’s performances in the last few seasons, and thus is open to his departure despite not having seen him directly in training yet. Furthermore, the Merengues are also looking to get a good price for their player from one of the richest sides in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are also being closely linked with Ayyoub Bouaddi, and it remains to be seen how this story would develop with Real Madrid keen to offload Eduardo Camavinga.
