The latest round of Player of the Month nominees at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Tuesday been revealed.

And it features five high-profile stars, as well as a clear frontrunner.

Real Madrid took to the pitch on eight occasions across the month of January.

Los Blancos endured an altogether hit-and-miss time of things, ultimately culminating in the dismissal of head coach Xabi Alonso.

Along the way, though, several leading members of the club’s squad nevertheless managed to impress.

Chief amongst them was Kylian Mbappé, who managed a remarkable 10 goals in just six appearances in all competitions.

The Frenchman, in turn, has as expected once again been put forward for the Player of the Month prize at the Bernabéu.

And joining frontrunner Mbappé on the five-man shortlist for the accolade are teammates Federico Valverde, Thibaut Courtois, Arda Güler and Vinícius Jr.

The winner of the award is expected to be announced before the week is out.
