With no extension in place yet, PSG midfielder Fabiaz Ruiz could be entering the final year of his contract this summer. As a result, there might be teams looking to see if the Parisians are willing to sell the Spaniard.
Last summer, the capital club sold Gianluigi Donnarumma with one year left on his deal to Manchester City. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Ruiz to be sold if he and the capital club can’t reach an agreement, rather than losing him on a free transfer after the 2026-27 season.
If Ruiz replicates his UEFA Euro 2024 success with Spain at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it wouldn’t be a surprise if several suitors come calling this summer.

On Jan. 12, Fichajes reported that one potential suitor is Real Madrid. The report mentions that Los Blancos are struggling to find stability in midfield this season. Since Luka Modric and Toni Kroos left, the club has been unable to replace them with players who can consistently dictate the game and spark creativity.
The Spanish outlet adds that Ruiz’s contract is approaching its final year. Even with more than a year left, the board sees now as the right moment to act. He isn’t a regular in the starting lineup, and his market value is still strong enough to allow for a profitable transfer.
At 29, Ruiz brings a mix of experience and calmness on the ball, along with an impressive knack for threading passes that cut through defenses. He seems ready to tackle many of the team’s pressing issues right away.
