According to a previous report from CaughtOffside, several major clubs — including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG — have been closely monitoring the 20-year-old.

Huijsen has quickly stood out in the Premier League and is already being talked about as one of Europe’s top young defenders. If PSG try again, they’ll face stiff competition — and likely a hefty price.

Meanwhile, GIVE ME SPORT reported Tuesday that Bournemouth expect Huijsen’s £50 million release clause to be triggered this summer — and if he stays in the Premier League, Liverpool are seen as the frontrunners.

Real Madrid appeared to be out of the running for Huijsen, but a new report from Marca says they’re still interested in signing the Bournemouth defender this summer.

‘The name that they talk about the most in Valdebebas and for which the white sports management is moving is Dean Huijsen,’ states the report.

On Wednesday, TEAMtalk provided an update on the Huijsen transfer race, noting that for now it appears to be a two-team chase between Chelsea and Liverpool. Moreover, the outlet reports, citing sources, that the Blues have offered Huijsen a more tempting financial package.

Furthermore, the report mentions that there remains confidence at Stamford Bridge that Huijsen will opt for Enzo Maresca’s side. Liverpool may still be in the race, but the defender has an interest in Chelsea’s project, per TEAMtalk.
