Former La Fabrica star Alex Jimenez was rumoured to be a target for Real Madrid to reinforce the full-back position earlier this season, especially given how he has been impressing on his loan stint at Bournemouth.
Contractually bound to AC Milan, the 20-year-old joined the Premier League side on loan in September 2025 and has become a mainstay for the club ever since.
His loan move included clauses that could see his transfer be made permanent if met, and it was reported earlier this week that the said clauses were close to being met. Needless to say, that came as big news to Real Madrid who retain 50% of his rights.
As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano in a recent report, the obligation to buy the player has been activated as planned and Bournemouth have signed Jimenez in a permanent transfer from AC Milan as of earlier today.
The deal includes a fixed fee of €19.5 million and €5.3 million in add-ons. He will sign a five and a half year deal with the English side as part of his new contract.

The entire fee will thus be shared between AC Milan and Real Madrid who both own 50% of his rights each.
Los Blancos, thus, are set to receive a windfall of €9.75 million as a fixed fee and can receive up to €2.65 million in variables based on various conditions being met. The sale of the academy player is thus significant at the Valdebebas.
So far this season, Jimenez has made 21 appearances and 17 starts for Bournemouth in the Premier League and averages over eight defensive actions per game. He has scored one goal and has yet to provide an assist in the competition.
