With several areas of the squad under review, Real Madrid are preparing for a significant rebuild that could see multiple new faces arrive before next season kicks off.

According to a recent report from SPORT, up to six new signings are expected as part of this overhaul.

The report outlines that Real Madrid are targeting two centre-backs, a midfielder, and potentially a right-back, depending on what happens with Dani Carvajal

In addition to that, there are internal “signings” already lined up, players returning to the squad who are expected to play a key role.

Nico Paz – The first signings

One such case is Nico Paz. The Argentine midfielder has been impressing during his time at Como, and Real Madrid have been closely monitoring his development.

The club previously sold 50% of his rights for €6 million, but crucially retained a buy-back clause.

At Valdebebas, there is complete clarity over the situation. Despite the fierce competition he will face upon his return, the decision has already been made that the buy-back clause, worth €9 million, will be activated.

Endrick will return too

Another important addition will come from within. Endrick, who is on loan at Olympique Lyonnais, is expected to return in the summer

The young Brazilian is using his stint in Ligue 1 to gain valuable experience, and there is growing belief that he is ready to challenge for minutes in the first team.

Defensively, though, things are less clear. Real Madrid had identified Nico Schlotterbeck and Dayot Upamecano as key targets to reinforce the backline.

However, both deals now appear unlikely, with their respective clubs, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, pushing to secure them on new long-term contracts.

This leaves Real Madrid with a decision to make. Do they pursue alternative defensive targets or trust the current options already in the squad?

What is certain is that this summer will not be quiet.
