Following a sizzling performance against Leganes on the weekend, Arda Guler continued his good run of form with yet another impressive display against Liverpool.

Unfortunately, he appeared to be the only individual who performed on the night, as Real Madrid fell to a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Reds.

Nevertheless, Guler’s recent performances seem to suggest that the player may have a future at Real Madrid after all.

Real Madrid rule out Guler exit

Keeping that in mind, Fichajes reports that Real Madrid have closed the door on the potential exit of Guler ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

This is important especially considering the fact that the Turkish international has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu throughout the campaign so far.

There have been also murmurs that the youngster is not happy at the club due to the lack of trust shown by Ancelotti.

However, Real Madrid’s intentions are clear. They want to keep hold of the youngster’s services for the foreseeable future and are not considering either a loan or a permanent sale.

Real Madrid’s renewed faith towards Guler has been quite visible lately, with Ancelotti publicly backing the playmaker recently.

The player has also started Real Madrid’s last two competitive matches despite considerable competition for the creative positions.

Therefore, it won’t indeed be surprising to see Guler continuing to ply his trade at Real Madrid despite intense speculation over his future.

However, it is equally important that the Turkish international maintain his current run of form, if he is to truly establish himself as a first-team regular at the Bernabeu.
