Real Madrid are ready to sell one of their midfielders. Liverpool have the chance to bring in a player they've wanted for many years.

But there's maybe an even bigger deal there to be made. The Athletic reports that Real Madrid are willing to accept offers for Eduardo Camavinga today, a player Liverpool have tracked and wanted since 2022.

We love Camavinga and believe he might be the most undervalued midfielder in European football. That's principally because he's overshadowed at Real Madrid by other stars, principally Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The data pushes that idea. Camavinga is a standout in the exact areas Liverpool need in the middle, while he's still so young at 23. He's not just someone who can step in right away but a player who hold down that position for a very long time.

Will Liverpool move? It's doubtful. For one, they're out of homegrown slots for their squad and would need to move someone else on (or leave someone out).

But if they do wake up and decide a midfielder is necessary, there is no better deal today. Camavinga is a superstar and precisely what Liverpool need.
