Real Madrid’s forward line is star-studded to the capacity that it is close to impossible to field all stars together.

With Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe demanding starting roles, Rodrygo has seen a steep fall in prominence this term and has been pushed to a relatively foreign position on the right.

Averaging just 61 minutes per game in La Liga, the Brazilian phenom is far from happy with his situation. While he remains committed to proving his worth at the club, rumours of a departure have sparked once more.

Premier League interest alive

Rodrygo has been linked with a move to the Premier League several times in the past as clubs from the English league seriously value his talent and hope to provide him with a more central role in their project.

As relayed by Fichajes now, Liverpool and Manchester City still have their eyes on the Real Madrid star over a move in the summer. The Merseyside club, in particular, like him as a fit in Arne Slot’s plans and are emerging as a serious option.

The report further adds that Real Madrid would be willing to sanction his exit if the right offer arrives in the summer despite his talent, simply because he is a surplus resource at the moment.

Both Liverpool and City are willing to invest a significant amount to sign the €110 million-rated winger but it remains to be seen if they can pull off the deal.

After all, Rodrygo has strictly opposed an exit in recent times and is very happy fighting for a place in Madrid. His departure, needless to say, would come as a massive shock.
