In recent weeks, Real Madrid have been linked with a move for multiple Portuguese stars, headlined by Florentino Perez’s desire to sign Vitinha.
The club have also been offered the chance to sign Ruben Neves, who is desperate to leave Saudi Arabia. However, Real Madrid have rejected the proposal.
Now, the Spanish giants have been handed the opportunity to sign yet another Portuguese star in the form of Bernardo Silva.
According to Defensa Central, Bernardo Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has reached out to Real Madrid regarding the possibility of signing the Manchester City star on a free transfer.
Silva’s contract at Etihad expires at the end of the season, and the player has yet to renew his contract. This has led to widespread speculation over his future.
Mendes, in an attempt to increase his influence within the Real Madrid camp, has offered the player to the club. However, Real Madrid have rejected the opportunity to sign Silva for a multitude of reasons.

For one, Real Madrid are not too keen on signing a 30-year-old Silva, who is already in the final phase of his career.
The club would only offer him a one-year contract, which is unlikely to satisfy the Portuguese international.
Moreover, signing Silva could only create a tactical dilemma as Arda Guler already plays in that position.
Not to mention, Real Madrid are also planning to bring back Nico Paz next season. As such, the club are not too keen on signing Silva at the end of the season as the player clearly doesn’t fit the profile the team is looking for.
