Real Madrid have renewed their agreement with the National Football League (NFL), confirming that the iconic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid will host another NFL regular-season game in October or November 2026, reports Melchor Ruiz of COPE.

The deal, agreed between the NFL and Real Madrid, underscores the league’s commitment to growing its international footprint in Europe and beyond as well as the increasing reputation of the Santiago Bernabeu as a multi-purpose venue.

Last year saw the Bernabeu make history by hosting the first NFL game ever played in Spain, when the Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Commanders 16-13 after overtime on 16 November 2025.

The match drew a crowd of 78,610 fans, demonstrating strong local appetite for American football and helping to secure Madrid’s place on the NFL’s international calendar.

Financially, the 2025 game was a success for Real Madrid and the league alike.

Estimates suggest the fixture generated more than €80 million in combined revenue from ticket sales, hospitality, tourism and related spending in the city, with additional commercial opportunities from sponsorship and media rights deals.

The Bernabeu, recently revamped into a state-of-the-art multi-use arena with a retractable roof and advanced facilities, has quickly become an attractive venue for major global events beyond football.

Hosting the NFL has been part of Real Madrid’s strategy to diversify income streams and reinforce its global brand. And they will welcome the American Football League for another game later this year, either in October or November.
