Real Madrid have confirmed that the club have agreed a deal to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig.
The winger has signed for the Spanish side for an initial €125M fee with a potential further €15M in add ons. If those add-ons are met, Diomande will represent a club-record transfer.
"Real Madrid C.F. and RB Leipzig have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Yan Diomande, who will be linked to our club for the next seven seasons, until June 30, 2033," a club statement confirmed.
Diomande emerged as, arguably, the most in-demand talent of the summer transfer window, following a breakout season in theBundesliga. The 19-year-old scored 12 league goals and added eight assists for Leipzig, to help the German side to Champions League qualification.
He led allBundesliga wingers for progressive carries in 2025/26, and ranked among the top three wingers in Germany's top flight for duels won, successful dribbles, progressive actions, and touches in the opposition's box.
Liverpool had an offer in the region of £85m turned down for Diomande earlier in the summer, while Paris Saint-Germain also pursued the player.
Real Madrid have now officially won the race, with Diomande becoming the latest signing of an eye-catching summer. Jose Mourinho's side have already secured deals for Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Carlos Espi, alongside the Diomande deal. Diomande returns to Spain one year on from leaving Leganes for Leipzig.
