Real Madrid have proposed selling Nico Paz’s rights to Como for €60m, with an €80m buy-back next season.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the Argentina international excelled on loan under Cesc Fábregas, helping Como clinch a first Champions League place, and Madrid previously held buy-back clauses of nine million this summer and 10 next.

With José Mourinho arriving and Bernardo Silva coming in, and with Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham and Brahim Díaz already in place, regular minutes at the Bernabéu would be harder to secure. After speaking with Fábregas, Paz has opted to stay at Como.

Madrid have set a €120m market valuation, yet are offering Como roughly half that figure, plus right of first refusal and an €80m buy-back. Both clubs think another year in Italy could further lift his value towards €120m.

From an accounting perspective, Madrid would book €60m as income this season instead of spending nine million, and could amortise any €80m repurchase over future seasons. The club are preparing a parallel company to admit two foreign investors at €500m each amid liquidity and revenue pressures. In the worst case, the academy product brings in €60m and all sides appear to benefit.
