Real Madrid star a sudden doubt to face Olympiacos through injury | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has emerged as a last-minute doubt to feature in the club’s next outing.

This comes amid confirmation that Jude Bellingham is struggling with a fitness concern.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action in short order, having made the trip to Athens for a Champions League meeting with Olympiacos.

Los Blancos head into the matchup with sights on a much-needed return to winning ways, following three games on the bounce without as much on either side of the international break.

As alluded to above, though, efforts towards as much may well come without the contributions of Jude Bellingham.

As per a report from Marca:

‘Bellingham is a last-minute doubt for the match against Olympiacos. The English midfielder is suffering from a calf strain that threatens his place in the starting eleven.’

Though the issue is not thought to be a serious one, Xabi Alonso is not expected to take any risks, with Bellingham moving towards the bench in the hours leading up to kick-off in Greece.
