Real Madrid star being tested in new position at international level | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has been tested in a new role at international level this week.

That’s according to a number of sources across the English media, who have confirmed that the youngster has taken up a ‘false 9’ position in Three Lions training this week.

England are primed to return to action later this evening, in a Nations League meeting with Greece.

Manager Lee Carsley will be without the services of star frontman Harry Kane for the clash, meaning he has been forced to seek out alternative arrangements for the lead protagonist in attack.

And, despite the presence of the likes of Ollie Watkins and Dominic Solanke in his squad, it would appear that Bellingham is set to be the man chosen to lead the line against Greece.

As per the reliable Matt Law, amongst other sources, after testing the Real Madrid standout in a false nine role in training this week, Carsley is giving ‘serious thought’ to continuing with as much at Wembley later this evening.
