Real Madrid star Federico Valverde on Tuesday moved to reassure the club’s supporters regarding his wellbeing.

This comes amid the assurance that the Uruguayan will be available for selection for Los Blancos’ season opener.

Valverde for his part set alarm bells sounding in Spain’s capital on Monday.

This came after word was forthcoming that the all-action midfielder would not be called up for Real Madrid’s final pre-season friendly against WSG Tirol, owing to a case of muscular overlaod.

With Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham already sidelined, news of as much marked a major concern for all of a Blancos persuasion.

In turn, upon Valverde being spotted departing Valdebebas on Tuesday, it came as little surprise when the subject of his fitness was put to the 27-year-old himself.

Specifically, Valverde was asked if he will be fit and available for his side’s La Liga season opener against Osasuna next week.

And the South American went on to assure:

“Yes, for sure.”
