Brahim Diaz has been undisputedly one of the most impressive players in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations so far.

The Real Madrid star has been in a dream run with the Moroccan national team, who have already reached the semifinal stage, thanks to a win over Cameroon.

Brahim has been a key protagonist for the North African national, notably scoring five goals in the tournament.

Brahim Diaz, in fact, has made history at the Africa Cup of Nations by becoming the first ever player in the tournament’s history to score five back to back goals from the opening game.

Indeed, the Moroccan international scored in the first three league matches against Comoros, Mali and Zambia, helping his team secure seven points.

In the Round of 16 stage, the 26-year-old scored the only goal of the game against Tanzania, as his team secured a narrow 1-0 win to qualify for the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, Diaz scored again in a 2-0 win that saw Morocco secure a place in the semifinal, where they will take on the winner of the match between Algeria and Nigeria.

So far the in the tournament, the former Manchester City starlet already has five goals to his name, making him the competition’s top goalscorer, with Amad Diallo and Ademola Lookman coming in second and third.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Brahim’s performances have not gone unnoticed and may even increase his standing in the Real Madrid team, when he comes back from action.

Even Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund have emerged as potential suitors for the Moroccan international.

Real Madrid, nevertheless, would expect to have the Moroccan international available in action for the Villarreal match on January 24.

If the player seeks an additional relief, Los Blancos are sure to have him back by January 28, when the team is slated to take on SL Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.
