An update on the progress being enjoyed by Real Madrid star Rodrygo in his ongoing efforts to return to the pitch has come to the fore online this week.
Frontman Rodrygo has for his part been sidelined since all the way back in March of this year. After taking to the pitch as a substitute in a La Liga meeting with Getafe, the Brazilian was revealed to have suffered a serious knee injury.
An ensuing round of tests confirmed ‘a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and a rupture of the lateral meniscus of his right leg’, ruling Rodrygo out of this summer’s World Cup and beyond.
The 25-year-old has over recent weeks been spotted back at Valdebebas, ramping up his recovery under the watchful eye of the Real Madrid medical staff.
Just when, though, can the Blancos faithful look forward to actually seeing their side’s attacking star back in competitive action on the pitch?
As per a report from Diario AS:
‘This week marked five months of a process that the club estimates will take at least ten. Rodrygo’s sights are set on 2027, but early on, in January, when his return is expected.’
