Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham ruled out until after international break with foot problem

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks due to the physical burden being placed on the 20-year-old. He has now been ruled out for around a month with a foot problem, just two games into the new season.

Multiple sources, including Relevo and Diario AS, are reporting that Bellingham will miss a month of action with a foot problem (plantar fascitis), and will miss a minimum of three weeks. If the injury develops slower than expected, it could take him right up until the city derby against Atletico Madrid to recover on the 29th of September.

He will miss at a minimum games against Real Valladolid, Las Palmas away and Real Betis, as well as England duty. If the injury does not progress as hoped, then it could also place clashes against Real Sociedad away, Espanyol and Alaves in jeopardy, while he is likely to make it back for Atletico.

Carlo Ancelotti had told the press that he had a knock, and was being evaluated, but his injury is a frustrating setback, as the Italian tries to configure his new-look side. After a draw against RCD Mallorca, he will not be happy to be without one of his best players, although it might make it easier to find the balance he said was missing for their first Liga game quicker, as they will not want to drop further points.
