The mother of new Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappé has this week confirmed the readiness of she and her son to take Paris Saint-Germain to court.

As much comes amid an ongoing dispute between the parties, over unpaid wages and bonuses.

Frontman Mbappé, of course, brought a close to his lengthy stint on PSG’s books this summer, in favour of taking his talents to Spain with Real Madrid.

The move was made a possibility after the 25-year-old opted against signing a new contract at the Parc des Princes.

This stance did not go down at all well with those behind the scenes in Paris, who were not at all shy in making clear their frustration with the club’s long-time talisman.

A fallout between the parties has ensued, with Mbappé and his entourage adamant that he is still owed a considerable financial payout from his former club.

Speaking during an interview with Le Parisien (as cited by Relevo) on Wednesday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of as much was put to the attacker’s mother, Fayza Lamari.

And, in her initial response, Lamari appeared cordial, confirming her ‘trust’ in the PSG brass to put things right:

“It is now in the hands of Kylian’s representatives. But I trust PSG to get things back to normal very quickly. We have just received a letter from them. Decisions will be made. Sometimes, when you separate, you have to decide who gets the television, who gets the furniture or the car… That’s what we’re working on. I hope that all this does not tarnish everything we’ve been through, that we don’t leave it like this. As in a couple, once again, everything is never rosy, there are ups and downs. But in six months, things will be better.”

From here, however, Lamari also admitted that, in the case of the French champions refusing to do so, Mbappé and co. will be left with ‘no choice’ but to take matters to court:

“If we have no other choice, yes, we will go to court, of course. Now, I really hope that the contract we signed two years ago is respected. Let’s stop saying that Kylian said, didn’t say, did this, didn’t do that… In reality, no one can say what happened, neither me, nor the representatives of PSG, because for two years Kylian and the president have always met alone, apart from once. And all that has not prevented Kylian from playing since the announcement was made in February…”
